How Does a Saltwater Pool Work?
A saltwater pool uses a saltwater generator, namely the Sun-Chlor Solar-Powered Pool
Chlorinator, to sanitise the water.
Through a process called electrolysis, the specially coated electrode of the Sun-Chlor Chlorinator converts the salt that's added to the pool water into chlorine to destroy bacteria and control algae-growth.

Please Note: For pools that are heated by solar or heat-pumps and very close to the maximum volume that the Sun-Chlor device can chlorinate, it is strongly recommended to select the model size up. This is to ensure that the pool will be chlorinated adequately.
For every 4 degrees rise in pool water temperature, a swimming pool will require between 50 - 80% additional chlorine to sanitise effectively.

POOL SPLENDOUR, incorporating Sun-Chlor, warrants the Sun-Chlor Solar-Powered Pool Chlorinator to be free from defects in material or workmanship, under normal use and service.
SOLAR CELL AND ELECTRODE: 2 YEARS LIMITED WARRANTY
In the unlikely event that this SUN-CHLOR CHLORINATING DEVICE (SOLAR PANEL AND ELECTRODE) develops any malfunction within ONE year of the date of original purchase due to faulty materials or manufacture, POOL SPLENDOUR will at their discretion repair or replace the defective part(s). From months 13 to 24, 30% of the prevailing retail price of the defective part(s) and labour will be charged. The Two-Year Warranty does not cover handling fees or freight costs incurred in making a claim.
